Lydia wasn't sure how to ease his worry and take care of her own at the same time, though that was her inclination, as usual--take care of him somehow. She kept a hold of his hand, either way, wanting that contact and connection, and eventually her grip tightened on his as a contraction hit, making her gasp, and Sarah gave him an encouraging nod, even as she tried to get Lydia to breathe.
